Talented Sickness - Dress Rehearsal

Talented Sickness was an experimental movement piece which incorporated paint alongside our choreographed movements.  Being a painter, I felt very cautious about this idea of mixing these two mediums.  Movement/dance... with painting...  It was a hard but exciting process.  How can we express this combination in the most honest way? We explored the journey from breathing, to the idea of rebirth,  relearning, rediscovering the colors, contrasting the differences of one's being with different colors/patterns.... conflicts... resolutions... 

Talented Sickness

Today June 17th (Sunday) at Sai Kun Bamboo Theater around 3:30pm,  my friend Amy and I will be performing our piece "Talented Sickness".  We decided to join this Annual Dance Collage Carnival and experiment our dancing paint idea!  It was a challenging process. First of all, the method gets super messy, cannot expect what will happen with paint the next moment, and yeah.... How do we paint and move?  Ok, result of our work in progress performance will be shown in Sai Kun open area. :)
